How to Bind Your Own Hardback Book

This was my first time binding my own book, and the instructions were spot on, easy to understand, and didn't have to be revised to make a great book. I used Matte Medium (usually used for collages) to glue most of the items. The whole thing took a little over a day, with drying time overnight. Overall actual work time about 2-3 hours. Some of the things I changed:I sewed the folios instead of stapling. I didn't want the staples to rust, not sure if that's ever an issue. Need something a bit sturdier.I used old cardboard backing from an old drawing pad as advised, and together with some heavier fabric glued to it (with matte medium) it is VERY sturdy!I used old wallpaper for the lining, came out great.I was so excited how substantial and great the binding ended up being. It looks like a nice storebought book! So impressive. It almost lays flat completely.I will definitely make many more. It's so easy and impressive to show! Thanks for the great instructions!!!!
