Made so many... I use a single piece of elastic to thread through the channels, so that it goes around the neck and head. This way it stays on better and doesn't hurt my ear cartilage.
Thank you for the original pattern. I would love to see your latest revision with the added length. One of the reasons I really liked your pattern is because of minimal material waste - the bottom of the mask is straight and is easy to line up.
I'm also from Toronto, what a coincidence! This is what I ended up with. I've re-adjusted the nose part as mine isn't small and neither is my head in general :) But now I'm really happy with the fit. It doesn't slide down when talking and the fabric doesn't touch my lips and doesn't press too hard on my nose. I feel like I can wear it all day now without much discomfort. Thanks again for sharing the pictures, I don't think I would have came up with the dart idea on my own. I use tightly woven material and don't leave the space for the filter, so it's just two layers. I put the darts into each piece separately, so they ended up on the inside.
Amazing! Thank you so much! I will give it a try. I also find that it slides right off when talking.
Quick question - I notice that the liner doesn't seem to have the darts put in (looking at the third picture with the blue liner visible). Do I use the same pattern for the liner as for the front layer? Newbie here :)
