I don't know anything about myself.

Actually I did not know that about alpha particles, my teacher forgot to teach us about it, teachers here are very bad, maybe I will study more about radiation later, I'm still in high school, the elements that I could trade with you are in another city in my sister's house, and since I do not have a penny to do anything with them we'll have to wait a little before trying to trade something, for now I'll try to make sodium too, if yours works out and turn into real sodium you could add to your instructable along with the other new elements, you could put water and lithium in a cup and cap it with a balloon to get hydrogen, aluminum and well-acidified kitchen cleaners also work, I think that 3 batteries of 3 volts have enough lithium.

I'm afraid of these radioactive things, I prefer to stay with my protium, I don't have americium yet because it's radioactive and because gas sensors are expensive here, actually everything is expensive here, Brazil only exports field products like soy, so technology gets expensive, electronic components or modules for arduino are almost 5 times more expensive than where you live! I was lucky to find a element collector here in Brazil that sold me some pure elements for an affordable price, I would even trade some elements with you because I have manganese, cadmium and some others in excess, but as you said the distance will make things a bit difficult.

I've noticed that you don't have hydrogen, oxygen, and chlorine, it's kind of boring to prepare the electrolysis to get them (to get chlorine just add some salt), but it's worth it, I'll get sodium using sodium hydroxide and magnesium powder, I'll leave the video link with the instructions, I know you said that platinum is obtained from spark plugs, but some of them have iridium too, my friend gave me some of the brand ''Iridium'', the central electrodes have iridium and the gab of the ground electrodes has platinum, some rechargeable batteries have cadmium, I try to use gloves to handle this toxic thing.I bought helium balloons at the mall, it was one of the easiest elements to get, I've seen many youtubers using gallium as content for their videos, so it's easy to find it to sell, I g...

I started this collection because of your instructable, I currently have 35 elements and I plan to get more, thanks for helping me.

The problem isn't the capacitor, I used a 2.2uf as in the schematic, increase the capacitance only makes the led flash slower (I tried with 10uf and the same problems persisted), I haven't tried to use the breadboard to test it before the build, I will try to redo the circuit, I'm sure I didn't do any wrong connection or used an incorrect resistor because I checked it 2 times before turning on. I'll tell you about the result when I finish it.
