Precipitate the copper by cementation with iron (cheap and plentiuful-toss in scrap iron if you choose). Other metals can be used in place of iron as long as they are also "higher in the electromotive series" than copper Gold can be cemented out with zinc. Also a good method to separate copper from nickel, noteworthy if you happen to have a bucket of dissolved cupronickel (think coinage).
Muriatic acid is hydrochloric acid with a concentration between 20-32%. It is an out-dated terminology which leads to much confusion.

That "current circulating" is defined as charging. Its a good thing. This is how a parallel-style charger is able to charge multiple batteries at the same time, regardless of whether or not the individual 18650s match each other in spec. Each cell draws what it needs to be charged and no more. My 8p 18650 chargers sense when the group is no longer drawing current, i.e. they are fully charged.

Excellent use of old computer speakers. I don't think it has the power to make a sub enclosure necessary. I would probably shield the electronics from the drivers (or vice-versa) with an aluminum plate, a common thing to see inside the sub cabinet in an X.1 system. And while we're at it, snatch a couple of used computer case fans to keep the electronics cool. Run at a low voltage to minimize noise. I use 12 volt e-mac fans running at 7 volts.

A stronger engine will not overcome inherent instability, it must be balanced! Tie a string securely around the rocket tube at the center of gravity leaving a 3 or 4 foot leash. With the rocket prepared for actual launch, swing the rocket around by the leash. An adequately built rocket will "fly" in the circular path you are creating with the nose always pointed in the direction of travel. Else it will wobble, or worse. The exact tuning steps to eliminate the wobble escape me, but should be easy to find online. Hardcore builders will "tune" their rockets anytime they change the mass distribution, such as a using a heavier engine.

Contact paste will only protect the connection, not the rest of the metal. Galvanic corrosion is stll an issue. Using cables with a lead clamp for the lead battery post instead of cheaper steel clamps makes a huge difference. Permatex 22058 Dielectric Tune-Up Grease is recommended by the manufacturer for your car battery terminals. I've used it on several vehicles and other equipment with 12 Volt lead-acid batteries. Zero problems with any type of corrosion or connections. Dielectric DOES NOT mean non-conductive per se, but rather polarizable. The full explanation of why it works is lenghty and technical. Always read the manufacturer's instructions!

Al2(SO4)3 is acidic, Pb is amphoteric. How can this be an alkaline battery? Added H2SO4 should reduce the voltage of each cell since it dilutes the Al2(SO4)3 electrolyte. Expect to dissolve 30-35g Al2(SO4)3 per 100mL H2O for saturation.
