Good question! Yes, the bottom right space is intended for the ground or Earth. In the newest design, we have a nut (or conductive material on both the top and bottom of the controller to make it even more user friendly. A user must always be touching the ground while they also try to use any of the buttons. We chose the back and side so that's how most people hold the controller anyway. This permanent connection with the ground makes all the other buttons work.
