This is nice! Pretty similar to how I made mine! Not sure how far in you've gotten, but we see the hand on the journal is cut from gold foil, so I used the special wrapping paper people get at Christmas to wrap their doors in to like Christmas presents and traced and cut from that. The rivets on the corners are easy: cut the heads off of some of those little gold fastener thingies (brads?) and hot glue them down! The craft foam looks really nice on the spine, and that paint job is superb! Great work!

I just found this on accident but it actually would have been super useful for my Book of the Vishanti build...had I not already used a more expensive, clumsy, and permanent method. :( Oh well, I'm gonna try to make a second one anyway, so this is looking like the way to go for that one!
The Aether (Infinity Stone From Thor 2)
I'm so glad that this exists! That scene has strangely stuck with me ever since I first saw it as a wee one, and I think it's a pretty integral part of what got me interested in making things in the first place. The nice thing about this piece is that it's so versatile: it's a prop replica, but it doesn't have to be, and it's got function in a primary way that a lot of builds like this don't. It's so genius!
Is that to say that the brushing method would make it look more even, as opposed to mostly having one large stain?
