Personally, I use a metal water bottle, but there's no shortage of empty plastic water bottles. I'm thinking of experimenting with plastic bottles of different sizes and shapes. Might make a whole garden aquarium.

Hi Penolopy,I was afraid the plastic bags would stick too, but I think as long as the resin is hard enough it will peel off. The only problem I had was when I accidentally got a corner of a plastic bag embedded in the resin. There was no way it was coming out of there, so I just trimmed the plastic bag with scissors. This was my first experience working with resin and I expected it to be more difficult than it was. I'm sure it would have been more difficult if I were working with larger amounts of resin.

I was just playing with it. If you had really good scissors, you could make some amazing designs.

I'm still watering it so it's still growing. It'll last as long as chia pets last. If you were timing it for an event, I'd start a good two weeks ahead to ensure a thick green coat.

I think grass seed would be faster, thicker and maybe a little more durable. I just wanted the chia experience.

It wasn't that wet. I let it dry out a bit and didn't water it before wearing.

Thanks for the tip, that certainly would be less icky. Amazing how much water the seeds absorb.

Thanks, I almost felt sorry for some of the kids because it was so scary, but if you're going to make a Demogorgon, you have to go all out.

That took way more time than I thought it would. Having lived in the South, I always thought it was interesting that suite is pronounced as “suit” and not “sweet”, as in living room suite. Though really with the way it’s spelled it makes sense.
