Unfortunately the Lekku are stiff using this method. This was made for a convention where she was only walking around. I did make an Ahsoka (Fulcrum) version a few years later using foam. That version could be played in. I carved foam into the shape I wanted. I used spray glue to put it all together. The foam can be in multiple pieces to get the correct shape you want. Wrapped it in white vinyl, drew out the pattern and then hand painted it. Hope this helps.
Thank-you! And Nonsense! I have faith that you could make this or any other Instructable. You made a Farm!

Hello,Sorry, but I don;t know what the name of the wire is I used. I just found a stiff wire that was easy to bend and held its shape. I guess about half the thickness of a coat hanger is the best description. Bailing wire might be an appropriate choice. Sorry I cant be much more help than that.

I don't think that it would be good for hard playing, but if she just wore it for dress up it would be ok. It won't take a beating or rolling on the ground. As long as you make it to a good fit to her head it will hold on fine, but she will have limited movement because the montrals are stiff. Hope this helps.
Sorry for the late reply. I just weighed it and the one I made for my daughter is 1.3 lbs. Hope this helps. If you build one I'd love to see the finished costume!

You can stretch it to a point. It`s been a while, but I think I had it down to between a half and a quarter inch thick. You might be able to go thinner, but then as the material dries out its gets brittle over time. Also, to get a nice finish on it, you need to sand, so extra comes off during that process too. Hope this helps.
Hi, I bought it from a store called Michael's, here in Canada. Its a large chain craft store. Craft stores would be your best bet for finding it.Good luck! I'd love to see a picture of your finished product!
