Very well done 'ible with one exception.My question when I opened this was "What exactly is this used for?" I'm still not sure. I expect it's for knives, forks, spoons; but there's no picture of it in use nor explanation of exactly why I would want to build it.
So.... the existing water dish goes on top of the cookie tin, and this warms it from below?
Did you ever try another one of these? I have a few of these tanks and was wondering if this would work, or if they're just too weak to use.
I think adding a nightlight underneath it would be cool.
How much did this cost to make?

Well, for myself: I recently moved to the country and am establishing an orchard and rather large garden. Having a swarm (or two) of honey bees will help with pollination and get me some sweet, sweet honey. :)

Amazon was actually cheaper for LEDMO SMD5630 daylight strips. I may also use one of my pile of not-good-for-computers-but-still-make-plenty-of-12V computer power supplies for this.Did you think about putting aluminum flashing behind them for both better light reflection and heat sinking?
