Good day!Just wanted to know if this prototyping board would work for this project or if it's too limited?http://www.mpja.com/12-19-16.asp?r=332694&s=20Regards,Robbin1

Great build and nice job of creating this! Just a note that you can get IR leds and the holders for them at this site.https://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/P...They run 0.39 each and the holders are $1.89 each. These are single leds but I thought it would work well if you placed these leds around the edge of the headset face. These are 940nm leds so you would not be able to see the red glow! If you do use or try these, please let me know how they worked out! Thanks for the instructable and always, Have Fun!

sorry, here is the link to the holders for the leds!https://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/P...

How to Make a Propane Forge

I've looked at a lot of homemade forges here on instructables and many other sites, but this one is by far the best design I have seen! Great job!I need mine to be able to melt gold and platinum as well as knife making, so I was wondering if you took the end you cut off, fill it with the kaowool and hinge it to open and close; if that would help the temperature rise high enough? Also, the addition of a blower could help as well. You would only use the outside door to heat and then retain the heat, while still using the front cover you made with the board and half moon steel. Just cut a notch for the adjustable arm on the cover in the door?!Any thoughts on how that might work? Of if it would?!?Robbin1

That is far from what we are stating! Re-read my posts, you missed what I stated once you read the name “brown gas”!My link was only to show you that the name is still used, that's all! This is the last I will offer on this, this guy did a great job making this is instructable! I for one hope he will make more and especially if he improves on his generator! He has my support!

By the way, Yull Brown who coined the name Brown Gas was born in 1922 and On May 22, 1998, Yull Brown died at Westmead Hospital in Auburn, Australia. The HHO gas is still called Brown's gas in memorandum to Yull Brown. He was never convicted for fraud of any type! The fraud you are talking about had nothing to do with Brown, it was others who tried to sell and defraud the public on free water file for their cars and trucks, years after Yull Brown died! I know I said I wouldn't sat anything more, but I had to clear this mis-conception!

Any idea on what that collection tank/ system would look like? My torch however only has one valve for the Oxyhydrogen. I think (since I have not used it yet) that it needs both gases to flow through he torch for it to burn correctly. I'm unsure if it pulls any O2 from the ambient air to help with the burning or only relys on the two gases flowing together through the torch?!? Any thoughts on this? Anyone?I really want to try this torch out but I have limited time right now. I am getting the items together for the build, and hope to find a little time at the end of this month to build the generator. Any info on this torch and how it works the best will be greatly appreciated!

I guess we are just going to agree to disagree! The term "brown gas", "bang gas" and "Oxyhydrogen gas" are all names used to refer to the gas gained from this process. Right wrong or indifferent, they are still names used and will be used for some time to come. You can claim it doesn't exist nor does the names. I however will refer to Science and the papers written and published on this process. Chemistry 101 tells me the difference and properties of liquids, solids and gases to know what is a gas and what is not. Sure they don't mix on their own in this process creating a "special" gas and no one is saying the do, until a reaction takes place combining them back to a liquid state. The separated hydrogen gas burns in the torch mixing with O2 as it...

The separated hydrogen gas burns in the torch mixing with O2 as it burns. Creating high heat to weld, melt metals or blow up a milk jug! Please fell free to believe what you want to believe. But once you have said you piece, don't keep trying to push it on others who simply disagree with you. Perhaps if you offer some published data to support your claims you may find a different reaction from others. "Names aside"!Also, I don't understand how I put you to shame? I mean no disrespect to you or your beliefs. They are yours and I respect your beliefs even if they don't follow mine!

Thanks for the information! As I'm not sure how much it takes to run the torch and info on the net is limited. What I have read thou, it takes little pressure but the volume is the unknown. Some pictures I have seen of the torch in use, they had three connected to the hose so I'm thinking I may need to go that route as well. I'll start out with one and build more as needed. I'll post what I find as soon as I can get it built.

just wanted to say, "Good Job"! I have been looking for a simple, elegant and efficient generator for my torch. This is the best one I have seen so far and I'm going to use your design. Others that I have seen use an ion generator in the build and for the life of me I could never find the reason it was needed! Perhaps there is a reason, anyone know why? Once I get mine built, I'll post the build. Again, thank you for posting this one, it'll make my life much easier and should provide all the gas I need for my torch! They have these available on Banggood if anyone is interested and there under $50 bucks!
