DrumCube, an Arduino Robot Drummer
Great work!!!this makes me want to try doing it!
You touched on pigmenting the resin right at the end, which is something I was going to suggest. I think it would be interesting to do the majority of the cotton ball separately with clear resin and then use a black resin as a final binder to get a marble effect.I'm curious why you didn't use a vacuum chamber to remove the air pockets from the resin. It would have taken away many of the voids you fought during turning, but would have robbed you of the experience of that last bit of resin work that gave you a better finish.I really enjoy your videos, thanks for doing it!
"donut hole trees" = struffoli:-)I was hoping this would be a "no lathe" project, but it's cool none the less!

I've been wanting to do something like this for SCA armored combat for some times, but electronics and programming are not my strong points - this is a HUGE help!!Thank you!
Thanks!I missed that when I skimmed thru.
Very clever idea, well done!!!I'm more concerned with potential fumes from the spokes being heated than the copper, you might want to double check that, but I doubt a limited once or twice in a blue moon would be that harmful.
ANDYou are not always the first owner on a piece of useful machinery! My son has found many a decent and working tool at the junk yard that continues to serve us well for years after a bit of cleaning.
