I've done similar on a table saw. Just use a rectangular piece of wood with a nail in it for the jig, and set the saw fence so the nail in the jig is the same distance from the blade as the radius you want. Then slide the jig back and forth against the fence while rotating the piece you are cutting between cuts. Basically the same method but with a different tool. Cheers!

I'm sure many different solvents would work, for example see https://www.instructables.com/id/Solvent-Transfers/ (uses xylene) and https://www.instructables.com/id/5-Ways-to-Print-on-Wood/ (uses acetone) to do similar things. And I'm sure these are much cheaper than using an essential oil.
see https://www.shutterstock.com/blog/diy-at-home-image-transfers-onto-fabric-and-wood for another example
Acetone and xylene have been used as solvents in other instructables to transfer toner from printer paper to other surfaces.

I love it. I have used a similar method to make boxes, but instead of a solid wood top/bottom I used plywood set into channels routed inside of the box sides before assembly. I like the look of yours better. Does the dog watch over table saw operations to ensure safety? :)

This was a fun little build. I made it with oak and poplar scraps because that is what I had in my workshop. For simplicity I used 1/2" thick oak and 3/4" poplar for the parts. Instead of cutting runes with a chisel, I engraved the name with my dremel tool.
