Very clever. I recall (40 - 50 years ago) hearing that the Russians used to open up blown light bulbs, replace the filament, & resell. This is better!
You should remove the sim card as well, to prevent corrosion on it & to give one less place for water to hide.I find the best way to dry phones is to open them up, shake dry, then place them in the fridge in an open plastic bag . Leave it there at least a day. Then, open the fridge & immediately close up the bag, before you take it out. Then let it warm up in the bag ( in the sun is good) before taking the phone out. (The plastic bag will prevent condensation on the cold phone)If you dropped it into sea water I recommend a few rinses in RO or distilled water, shake it out, fridge.
Hi Wayne. did you find that the belts were not strong enough? Did you need to replace them? With what? Thanks -
Great project, Ims!Just a suggestion, if you trickle some tap water down the compressor outlet pipe, (reverse flow) before the ice bath, your ice should last longer, and I think you will get better performance.Good luck, Stuart.
You could thaw the frozen sap in the fridge a few days before - then you get your 'freeze' back -
Unique flavour might be from the fire?
