I love this idea! Why haven’t you entered it into the leather challenge? I would give you a vote. This idea should be sold to a London fashion house. I can imagine a paper lip purse or clutch bag from this too. The other ideas using stationery are endless. This is an amazing concept. Well done.

Saying that I can see it hung on the wall to hold papers or flowers. This design deserves to be manufactured. If there’s anyone out there who knows someone who knows someone in the fashion industry get this design made famous and the designer lots of money for creating it.

Thanks for your lovely reply. I’m so happy you sell them I think your art should be seen and appreciated by many. I’m glad you know a fellow artist who attends the Whitby steam punk weekend. I will get there one day just not at the moment. Lol (maybe when my knees have been replaced). I’d love to dress up in the dress n tail coat. So far I only have the top hat. 😆 Take care and keep up the fantastic work.Tracy

Hi, I am in awe of your bottles they are fantastic. I’ve a few questions. I hope this is OK.Do you find having a good named product label sells them or have you had the same success from totally covering the bottle?I am thinking about making this kind of thing for resale in my local area. May I assume you either make them to sell to pay for more materials or are lucky enough to be able to make them just to gift to people. If you do sell what kind of pricing do you put on each piece, if that’s not to rude a question. I’m meaning how do you work out your coatings. I’m terrible at this and know artists never get what they are worth. I find resin is extremely expensive, making your octopus alone would take quite a bit. Have you tried popping a Skelton of newspaper inside the octopus to take up less resin? I would imagine once he’s in situ and painted up it would still be robust enough.TIP: I don’t know if you’re in the U.K. or not but there’s a big steampunk fair in Whitby I believe a couple of times a year. The costumes cost a lot of money to buy and the people who attend save up to buy expensive items sold like this. I believe you would do very well there if you could attend. (I myself am disabled and don’t travel well anymore so can’t get there.)Lastly keep up the fab work you’re an inspiration.

What a beautiful piece and finished well too. I think you should enter the TV programme where they make a piece of jewellery each episode and compete to win the top prize. You look to have the tallent to compete.

If I wanted to make a path to be walked onto how thick would these flagstones have to be and what would you put under them please?

Cool. Looking forward to seeing the results.

Tomato Purée tubes are quite cheap to buy too. Shop around and you’ll find some bargain ones. Much cheaper than using real bronze/copper coloured metal.

On Neighbours (TV Soap) they talk about a beetroot burger as a veggie alternative to a beef one. Do you have a recipe for one of those please? We love beetroot and I’m intrigued as to how they can be turned into burgers and not fall appart. Thanks in advance if you do have one and share it. 👏🤗👏👍

Cut onions in half and take off outer skin. Wash and leave in water whilst you chop them one by one. This cuts down on the acidic ammonia making your eyes water. Another tip is to keep your mouth closed and only breathe through the nose, works for some people. Hope this helps.

What an absolutely brilliant idea. I’m a card maker and have hundreds of embossing folders and dies which will cut metal. This design and the mannequin piece open up a jillion designs going round in my head. Brilliant. Did you know the inside of a tomato purée tube is bronze. That’s what I use for metal when I’m embossing it. It’s softer and embossed really well for your future intricate pieces that the cans aren’t showing.also if you look again on your local marketplace there’s always crafters selling folders and dies. Thank you. The written word can be read in many ways, I just wanted to make sure I hadn’t offended. Love the red hair that kept coming into shot too. 😜It must be very difficult to remember not to be ontop of your project and instead having to sit back clear of the camera. Maybe if you turned the camera round so we see your arms and hands and then you would be facing the mike a bit better too maybe? You could even wear a self designed apron to promote yourself lol.good luck with it all. Take care, stay safe and be well.TD

Hi I loved your video but could I ask you maybe move the microphone nearer yourself or turn the music down? I could only hear you clearly when you dubbed in that the neighbouring unit had just turned power tools on. Remember when you’re making your voice projection is towards where you’re looking so looking down at your project your voice sounded very quiet which made the repeat of the music more annoying if that makes sense? Not meant to be a gripe just a constructive comment. Hope it helps. Keep up the lovely work. Stay safe.

Wow that is so helpful. I want to concrete a piece of art I made years ago into a circle and have put of and put off because once it’s in there there’s no getting it out without breaking it. Now you’ve told me about this I’m more confident in doing it. Thank you so much. You’re also very lucky living in Spain. I’ve holidayed there many times and have always felt at home. I love Barcelona too and had saved for two years to have a fantastic two weeks there this year for Gaudi’s 100th/centenary celebrations but because of CoVid it looks like it’s off the holiday and the celebrations which is so sad but understandable. I loved it in Barcelona the other two times I’ve been and could have stayed longer each time. You have an amazing country.Thank you again for the fibreglass tip, huge help.

Aw! Bless ya!there was an instructable email today with a three tier faux wooden log water fountain. He videoed and took photos and wrote up how to make this. I think using his technique I should be able to make some rocks etc to serve my purpose. He uses cement so it will be durable. Maybe one day I’ll have an instructable on here and you can look back and say I helped her with that. Thank you from the U.K. you’ve been really helpful.

What an amazing project. I’m creating a gravel garden with boulders, stones and there will be fairies and elf references as if they live among it all. Now I know how to pour over shaped sand from your video I hope to create carved rocks. Thank you for this. Are there any tips for making sure my sculptures stay weatherproof in the garden.

At a guess it’s the height of the areas that let the water flow which are lower than the ops of each section plus they have a pump pushing the water out making it look as if there’s more water inside than there is! I’m sure the creator can explain it better than me I just thought I’d try and help you.

Why didn’t I think of that! I’ve got some packaging waiting to go to the recycling centre too. Pity I’ve not got a huge piece so I could do an Asterix like in the movies when the grandkids come round lol. I will rescue the blocks from the recycling and try to create something good for my new rockery. The point of this garden was to make things easier for me as I’m disabled and have lots of pain, my husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer in Nov 2019 so he’s got no energy from his treatment either bless him. Well done the NHS keeping him alive too during a pandemic. ♥️ But it’s taking a lot more effort to get it easier. I’m looking forward to it being done. Thank you everyone for all your suggestions and help. I’m really impressed with everyone. 🙏 Thank You

  • Polymer Clay Lion Fountain With Resin or Hot Glue

Thank you. I’m sure it will I have in my head an achievable goal. 😆 the pic is what I have now. I’ve to move the flowers from a deep border and make it about 18” deep then plant wildflower seeds amongst the bulbs. I’ve used roof tiles for edging. The red looks nice against the stone when it’s all wet. Once it’s all level and the centre of the circle is all rockery I can plan the next step.

Aw! Bless you, thank you. I will enjoy making the item and hope it bakes OK then see what Mother Nature will do to it. I intended buying the colours I needed and mixing them together to make more for effect etc. It all depends on how much it will cost to do in the end. If it works out too expensive it won’t be worth it. I’m still in the middle of levelling out gravel sorting out borders and planning a group or two of plant pots with rocks then I’ll be able to sit and draw each area and the creations in situ. Then I’ll create it for real. It’s a big project.still any info anyone sends you or I is gratefully received. Thank you.

Hi, I’m making a rockery in the garden and want to add my own polymer clay sculptures. My concern is frost and sun what damage will it do and do you have any wise tips for me please? No matter how big or small I will need to know as I’m a novice at polymer clay. I usually use proper kiln fired clay but I’ve moved home and don’t have the use of a kiln now.

I’m building a rockery and want to put some fun hidden things into it like your rock faces. Would the clay be ok in the open air? I know it’s like plastic when set but the bits you add when it gets frosty I’d think they might fall off. Can you advise please?

Yes thank you. I hadn’t thought about the sun doing things to the glue. Well pointed out. I had considered chicken wire and concrete but your project looked so much more fun to do. Thank you. Take care, stay safe and be well.

I love this project and if I wanted to add this to my rockery outside I would add a stake or two of wood to press it into the ground so it wouldn’t be knocked by cats or blown over but how could I keep it waterproof please? What products in the U.K. can I buy to make it waterproof? I know it’s basically an indoor project but I’d love a little home for my fairies at the end of the garden. 😆

No worries, it’s late I should be in bed so didn’t read the names properly. Nite all.

  • Tie to FROSCHGOSCHERL Choker

Here’s a pic of a pin companies add their charity symbols to. We can buy them and stick buttons onto them or crystals etc and then as I suggested push them through your tie and put the section that grabs the pin at the back, which is shown in my pearl pack photo, then you can swap and change what you have on them. You could even decorate small letters glitz them up and add wording like glad, or hello, or pride in rainbow colours. The choice is limitless. (The pin in the photo isn’t a thumbtack or drawing pin but it looks like one.)

You can get them on line. There’s a company called Wish that I get mine from but sometimes they come faulty but they do give refunds for faulty items. There’s a lot of different ones you can get. As for the plain ones you decorate yourself any crafting site or even e bay would sell them. There’s even little tubular bolts you can get to replace the back bit and lock the pin in place. I use them so I don’t lose my charity pins. I’ll attach a picture of the tubular locks. I got mine off e bay. Have fun.

Thumb tacks are drawing pins those flat headed pins you use to pin things to a notice board. Some are sticking out ones but thumbtacks are called such because you push them in with your thumb. Here’s a picture of the pearl version of what I mentioned and you’ll see what I mean.

How long does epoxy resin take to dry? I bought some on line and put a small amount on a brooch to cover the gems and stop them falling out but it’s day four and it’s still tacky. It didn’t come with instructions so just wondered how long did your cone of resin take to dry?

How long does UV resin take to set I meant in my previous question. Mine was ready made in a bottle. Shake n pour.

  • Tie to FROSCHGOSCHERL Choker

I love this tie to choker idea. I see so many ties in charity shops they should print off your idea and sell the ties made into chokers. Excellent recycling idea too. I will be looking at the ties in the charity shops when lockdown is over for Christmas recycling gifts. I like to include one at least to do my bit. I’m now following you so the heat is on for more ideas. Big thumbs up for this one. 👍😉

TIP, I have found on line pearls and other small decorative items made into thumb tack style pins/badges with those backs on them like charity badges. I’m building up a collection of different ones to add to clothing etc. They would be ideal for this choker. You could close the choker with it so have the ends in different positions. Beware the pins obviously make a hole so it will depend on the tie material. You could have diamanté ones, Pearl ones, button ones but only one tie. Several looks for the work of one make. If that makes sense.

Thank you. When creating a PDF you can make it editable but because it’s on here you may not want your recipe tweaked without your knowledge so you can do a Picture less, space/paper/ink saving copy only PDF as an alternative which cannot be edited if you want to make sure your idea isn’t being changed. I hope this makes sense.
