  • Chico513, There are a multitude of converters on the internet for Free! Take your pick.

True and there is actually a large variety of prefinished plywoods with types of vinyl, plastics, and even fabrics that you could use for this purpose to make very unique custom cases!Ed

  • To gm280 Highly unlikely and even then little harm will be done, maybe the foam may smell a little ;-o !I like the effect but would have used the silicone covered type of LED strip, less likely to heat up the foam and stick to things and spreads the light more evenly but all in all Nice!!!

  • I think the last poster is dead wrong with the "non usable toy" remark may can not afford to buy boxes of $15 screws for every little project and will be very happy with this type of helpful and almost Free kind of sorter recycle their treasure trove of hardware that much easier!!!I will try to refine my build a bit and make it even better IF it works I will be posting it here, (that would be a first though) ;-)Very well done and conceived!Ed

  • Well thought out "third hand" or in this case "second" hand and a fabulous accessibility helper. simplicity is key here and based on this principle you can make different helper devices to fit the same drill.

  • Very nice project excellently executed and outstandingly produced (video'd) I think I will make one myself with a few minor changes, I'll would angle cut (dovetail as it where) the locking parts for the lid, and I would definitely glue the knot under the lid in the rope, (they always seem to get undone at the most inopportune moments!!!! ). I was taught to cut plugs from the same material with a plug cutter (cheap and readily available) then you plug the whole with those as they are full length and cut them flush, then use the rest in the next hole and so on. They are only 1 to 3 inches long as you cut them but you can cut as many from scrap pieces for pennies once you have the cutter.Hmmmm. yes I am a wood worker, sort of professional furniture maker....... Ed

  • I kind of crinche when I see metal surfaces close to speakers in HiFi situations, never a good thing in my opinion! when I saw the metal had no separation from the sound chamber in your speaker I was aghast, how could you do this I wondered you sound like you know a little more then the basics about all this and this is pretty basic? Why not make an MDF side and then a steel side If you MUST have a steel side???? This can only Detract from the sound quality After all that hard work!!!!!! I am giving constructive criticism, I'm not just being negative. I love HiFi Audio and the speakers look great but they have to FIRST Sound Great !!!!

  • Well Sebastiaan that's what we do here "when allowed" But we'd have to go through a lot of piles to find THAT many Straight Clear boards and 2"x 2"s !The point is that I think the industry can do better, but they just don't.About it not being perfect there, It's not Perfect Anywhere !!! Right? we all know that but people living in both the Netherlands and in Canada can consider themselves pretty darn Lucky !!!!!Be Happy, Go Build Something Else ! my next project is a Tiny house.Ed

Not to take anything away from it But you are very lucky to live where you are and have access to such beautiful Lumber the quality and stability looks outstanding and I remember what a pleasure it is to work with it, Yes I use to live there! now I live in Canada where you'd think you'd be able to get as good or better but no such luck, I guess we send it all to places like Holland???? cause what's in the lumber markets truly stinks!!!! its twisted and knotted and half the time still has bark on the edges and if it is straight just wait a half hour it will warp yet don't build any doors out of standard lumber like you did!If you want Quality lumber you have to go to a specialty lumb…

I will definitely give this a try, that means I have to now borrow our (my wife's) sewing machine back that I gave to our daughter because I thought she would use it more (oops, next time ask first.) ? Or I could ask her to make me one?..........? she's such a good daughter........ and sooo creative and handy.........

  • Of coarse it will catch the dust you want it to just make sure the filer area is sufficient and the airflow is good you don't need hundreds of cubic feet, but you do need it filtered properly then make sure you have some additional cool air aimed at the nozzle (you may want to separate that! +print a special funnel nozzle for this. )
