Yes, I totally agree as I mentioned that in the last step. The wire I used had a silver coating on it and by applying current to it, it changed color after a few hours and also the water got unclear. Building this sensor though is meant to be a learning project to understand it's funktionality. It's not as reliable as the module you can buy and also not foodsafe!

Or you could safe the numbers of the LEDs in each panel in an array and then turn on the whole array in one colour. That would propably be even easier!I just wanted to make an option that doesnt require programming skills and super fancy tools so that really everybody could make one at home :)
