First, I love kimchi and many thanks for your fine 'ible.Q: You said, "Filtered Water (Non-distilled water will prevent fermentation)"Which is it? Filtered (i.e. not distilled) water, or distilled water, as you say that non-distilled water prevents fermentation? Fermentation is what we're after here, right?

Nice project! I too save stuff - I'm of the opinion (and I've seen it happen!) that as soon as I throw some hardware away I'll find a use for it. That being the case, I have an old Primestar dish kicking around here as well as a few ACs. I may try something like this, or I may use the dish as part of a WiFi repeater. Hmm...I'm guessing that's a 10M beam I see there, not 11M, as I also see what looks like a V/UHF dual-bander up there on top.73

Can't wait to see your amp instro. I assume audio, not RF ;) Anyway I love the hollow-state stuff - my man cave audio is tube-driven.

Goodonyamite! I love "fiddly" things, especially ones like this made of metal. I really need to get back into some of that. Thanks for the inspiration.P.S. I wonder if silver solder has a melting point high enough to damage the brass plating? Guess I'll experiment and find out. I think I'll also try fluxing with borax (contains no acid).
Holy chizz, April, muh muh mind is blown!Quick? That'd take me a week or three. But I'm old (not sure I can even still lift full sheets of 3/4). I do need something like that, though, so I'm going to check out your set of plans. Maybe I can laminate thinner plywood.Excellent!
