Good you had the sense to use some safety equiptment . But I do recommend never to use it again ,check the safety data sheets on this stuff it is not good reading.
The reason I asked was for 2 reasons ,First the cost of the Blanket and perlite would I presume, been higher than equiptment to make aircrete . Second . Using any silicate even in blanket form to me is a no no for personal health . I used to work with the stuff 30 odd years ago and still have a tiny (microscopic)piece in my cheek which is impossible to have removed which still erupts pus now and then .
How come you did not use aircrete as your thermal insulator ?
They will probably ask you to open it for inspection, as it should come up on their screen as an unidentified mass..
Good comment , Used to make the stuff, it`s a lot thicker than just plain foil but surprisingly flexible stuff .
When refitting blade try to use a locking washer or a tab washer just to make sure the locking screw has no chance to move and unlock.
What on earth is an 8-32 screw ? I`ve never heard of that one before .
That is a big difference in power consumption and you will save a lot of pennies over the year. The reason the question was put is I was unaware you were using an air conditioner unit ,which I presume is of an older type as the newer ones are now supposed to be energy efficient. But no matter ,if it heats the space you wanted cheaper you have obtained your objective.
This is a brilliant project even for a fist timer ,the only thing I would have added to it would be a speed controller maybe from an old pedestal fan . Otherwise ,an easy neat, unobtrusive worthwhile professional job. made simple.
I agree with you on the rising cost of energy electricity or gas , But is using these fans really that cost effective when your adding onto your electricity bills ?
You have just been in contact with the only person to burn water :<:<
Thanks for the confirmation ,no doubt I`ll end up incinerating this as I usually do .:>
Like millions of others, no I don`t live in the USA. Your comment is most helpfull .it does sound if granulated sugar could be used and just needs to be ground down a bit .

Ok cards on the table, I understand the survival side of why you snare, but this method is not good as it prolongs the animals pain(this is from personal experience) I suggest you would be better off using the whiplash method using a spring bough to break the animals neck instead of slowly choking it.
impressive no doubt about that ! BUT ERR, I wonder how many of us can afford an autocad programme especially for a 1 off ?
