I finished building my version a few hours ago. It was alot of fun. This project helped me understand music and MIDI a little more and was a joy to build.Thank you Averton Engineering !I have placed pictures and 3d models of my project on my GitHub account. You can find it here:https://github.com/bonnette/AutoGlockenspiel
I used an Arduino Pro Mini instead of an Uno. I bought a used Pearl 32 note Glockenspiel from Ebay for $45. I used a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (Raspbian Stretch) to drive the Arduino.
How do I go about getting a Dohickey ?Thank You
Thank youAll the work is on GitHubhttps://github.com/bonnette/DK_ClockI really learned quite a bit from you and I enjoyed trying to understand and modify your code.
I made this with modifications to be used with a 480 X 320 NON-touchscreen display. You can find my modifications on GitHubhttps://github.com/bonnette/DK_Clock
Thank youYou may link my design to the instructable. The sources and photos are at "GitHub"https://github.com/bonnette/Pac_ClockLarry
Thanks for the pointer. I went to the site and found a pre-made font (96X144)It looks pretty good. (see photo)I added the large font version to "GitHub" https://github.com/bonnette/Pac_ClockThank you ! Larry
Congratulations on winning a first prize in the "Microcontroller" contest. You deserve it. However in my opinion I think you deserved one of the Grand Prize spots.Larry
Thank youI was looking at how I could possibly increase the size of the Clock font. Do you know of any web sites I can visit that will give me a hint on how to do this ?ThanksLarry
This is great !!I began work on a 480X320 version using an HX8357C display. You can find it at https://github.com/bonnette/Pac_Clock This version uses a display that does not have touch capabilities so I will implement 3 physical push buttons on the rear of the clock to provide setting capabilities. I must say that after doing the display conversion I have a very great respect for your abilities as a programmer.Thank you for sharing this with us.Larry
I'm sorry, I saved it in Corel Draw X7 format (V17)I placed another version that I saved in the oldest version of Corel Draw that I have (V11).Hope that helps
I agree,I can see it used as a VU meter. Pulsing to the music. The only problem I can see is that the Trinket has only a small amount of memory. But you could use something more hefty like a "Teensy"

I created a 3D printed case and made modifications to your code to use a WS2812 (adafruit neopixel) 16 led ring.http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2221859Larry
