In engineering - simple is good. That means - this is brilliant! (No pun intended)My only suggestion would be to get a piece of Lebanon’s or similar from Home Depot or Lowe’s to place on top as a hard, flat, surface to draw on You are only limited by the size of your box, and it’s not a “one trick pony” sitting around the house in the way when you’re not using it. Gonna make one today!

Disaster pack: Urban edition, 50 shades of grey...
Well thought our for an urban/suburban environment.
This would make a good workshop table as well
I have used the petroleum jelly/cotton ball fire starters for a while, but usually carry them in a pill bottle. This is much easier and smaller.
The simplicity of this is brilliant. I may head out to the shop right now to start this project:-DThank you!

I sometimes wear a shemagh when I am outdoors, especially in windy or cold weather. I have a large-ish head so it's hard for me to get good coverage with most shemaghs, even the military ones. This looks so much more practical for me as it is infinitely adjustable, and any size/length of material can be used to suit. Thank you very much. I have seen many pictures of the Touareg men wearing this, but never any instructions on how to do it.I suppose making one out of my family tartan (Scottish descent) or from some fabric I have covered in Texas flags would keep people from thinking I was a terrorist :-)Good job.
