Hoooray I got it to complile I tried your version 1.1 on latest version-no go tried it on a clean install of V 1.6.1 still no go .tried several attempts at moving files / libraries around still no go then I opened a new sketch on clean system opened the sketch did CTRL A to select all CTR C to copy to clip board closed down IDE opened IDE started new project with File-NEW selected all text with CTRL A deleted all text did CTRL V pasted clipboard into new project ran compiler and Hooray it compiled saved as SannerBB now this shows up under sketches and compiles I even changed Nikon camera to canon camera and it compiled so now to build the hard ware Thanks again for the support and the great projectBrian

thanks i'll try that and let you know how i get on --- I also looked at the arduino forums and it seem there has been a change in layout of the Dir structure, the libraries now go in two places one for included libraries and one for user libraries this may also be part of the problem I'll post my results when i get to them later to-day thanks again for the great supportBrian

Hi thanks for a great project but i cannot get the sketch to compile I get DFR_KEY errors and multi camera controlle errors I have tried all sorts of things udating to latest versions etc checking all files in correct place etc but still wont compile any help would be good I am new to programming but not the hardware I suspect wrong library or somthing but dont know how to fix it this is not the first project I have given up on for the same problem libraries files names and versions get mixed or missplaced but if you dont know, how do you fix it i have tried for days trial and error and what ifs but to no avail please help Brian

sounds like it might work but what I understand of your reply gave me different errors --GRRRso as to be absolutely clear can you please try to be a bit more precise about what you mean I do not find this intuitive (over 60 you know) a dir structure with files etc ie a file tree might help me to try your solution thanks in advanceBrian

that would be fantastic as it happens I can't even get the DFR_key to run its own example, same sort of error on a clean install of the ide latest version. my intention is to mod your project with more axis for doing macro, I think the idea of a spider in 3D really cool and perhaps build landscapes to put it on, like i do in photoshop in 2 D. I would like to get the basic hardware working first and use an arduino to control everything the potential is endless, hardware no problem ( been doing that since the days of valve radio) software well that is the big challenge ? many thanks for the replyBrian
