I currently make things as a hobby but really want to turn it into a career. Most of my builds are accessible to the everyday person at home with a small tool set and a large amount of ingenuity. One day I'd like to work in the special effects industry for film as an animatronics engineer, prop maker or set builder.

The goggles are featured in my 'Mad Max' cosplay: https://www.instructables.com/Mad-Max-Inspired-Cosplay/ and the rest is just a hood and a snow-buff I bought from an outdoors shop :)

Really nice work! I made a similar thing a while back, amazing what you can do with old junk eh?
Hey there, if you're wanting to embed/engrave a design into the rubber, I'd suggest drawing out the design you want onto the tyre then using a rotary tool like a dremmel, with either the sanding drums or engraving bits. The tyres are very tough and would probably gum up anything you use quite quickly, but it's the only way I can think of to actually make a mark on the tyre. Just make sure you're doing it outside or somewhere very well ventilated. Wear gloves and eye protection too as the molten rubber flying around can get a bit nasty.Hope this helps :)
