Beautiful turned spalted & inlay bowl. Great video and audio. Well-narrated and explained. I appreciate the tip of using the forstener bit to more easily identify & turn the bottom of the bowl.I have a much smaller Jet lathe, and might just try a smaller version of this myself. Thanks for the great inspiration. Keep on turning out these wonderful turnings! c
Cheinline posted some dimensions. 5 mm for top and bottom boards, 8 mm for middle boards, 10 mm nut/bolt.
Thanks so much! This info will help a lot. I'll post a photo is I'm successful!
Hi Cheinline - This may seem like a dumb question - - Can you tell me what depth wood you're using? It looked like thin luan plywood. But the carving depths (2mm & 5 mm) you list wouldn't work. I cut out 1/4" pieces of scrap wood, but that won't give me enough depth either. Any advice you could give will be appreciated.
Check out The Centrale coin puzzle. It's the same puzzle Cheinline references. A guy on the website shows how to work the device. Before I watched this video, I couldn't make any sense of it.
Beautiful spoons. Great video. I only wish both you guys wore protective eye wear when using your power tools. Stay safe, dudes. We want to see more instructables from you!
Really, really nice instructable. Adorable fox. I thought practice first with plain paper before I tried the colored card stock.
WARNING: Don't ever let the hot wax go down your drain. I did, and had to have the plumber come An expensive and embarrassing mistake!!

Very cool! I wonder if that might work for a unit with satellite radio capability? Of course you'd have to subscribe to the service. Hmmmmm......you've got me thinking.............
Q-Tips! You could use Q-tips to make the paint dots. Very inexpensive and certainly disposable. In a larger jar, start at the bottom and work your way up!Thanks you, Luca for a grat Instructable!
Really nice work. Great design and attention to detail gave a beautiful finished product.
