hidon't have exact part number but you can look on eBay under "Bluetooth receivers" or just Bluetooth there are lots of them online prices are pretty cheap too. I have bought a couple to use on a portable boom box to be able to send music from phone for example. all of them are usb chargeable and easy to use.

yeah I know I could only get them online from the clock suppliers but once I discovered them they just seem to add a nice flow to the clock no matter what the design.

I forgot to mention that if you want a smooth sweep movement on the seconds like the old electric clocks you can get quartz movements that do that instead of the tick tick movement you usually see...

    nice design really great!

Barry lets keep in mind that you don't know what kind of drivers are in this box secondly you would have all of the electronics on one board making it easier to "solder" as you put it, also you should take some time to learn a bit more about soldering as you have used way to large a gauge of wire for this type of electronics and could even cause damage with the iron and overheating of the boards and just suggesting you use flux when it should always be used for good flow of solder. I was only showing that the amount of separate parts and work you put in for the original product was one thing but you were really trying to sell your product and you did a great job on the wood stuff but to buy your kit based on your construction doesn't reflect good quality. the board in this...

I wasn't trying to step on your toes but I speak from over 40years of experience in electronic assembly, computer construction and actual circuit board construction not just wiring a few Pre built modules together.

Hi Guys, just an added thought you can buy a complete Bluetooth module with built in battery, charging port and charge indicator for around 10 to 20 bucks on ebay and this way you have all in one package. Now the one I'm showing you is an older one with the earlier USB charging port but the newer ones have the new micro USB port. Some come with a female audio jack and some with male audio plug. Point is, you can save a lot of room in whatever project you are doing like headsets. I did this with a Bose headset.

hey guys, I look at this project and think about getting a cheap Bluetooth speaker and that would give you the USB charging and Bluetooth board that would save a bit on looking for these parts. Its not like this hasn't been done before. and then custom the rest. As a further note I found this Emerson Bluetooth speaker that I bought for 20 bucks and now that I took it apart I see that it has the same speakers and radiator that he has and the electronics are all on one board the sound was good on it but you could take the whole thing out of the cheap box and build a nice one like the author has.
