Beautiful. I shall try it myself for my grandkids.@JayF49, the instrument you describe sounds beautiful.Slight correction: It is a xylophone (the word xylos means wood in Greek). A marimba is a type of xylophone with resonators underneath, and is a descendant of the African balaphone. All metal barred instruments hit with mallets are glockenspiels, be they the stationary or marching type. It would be cool to put resonators underneath and make a mini-marimba. Maybe one could use aluminum conduit or thin stainless steel tubing. Food for thoughtNoe Dinnerstein, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Music, John College, CUNY
