I believe that it is specifically green lasers that are against the law, as opposed to any other color.

I've used this similar idea with jeans to make shopping bags that can handle lots of cans and tons of weight. Come to think of it I have a couple leather jackets sitting around too....hmm.

I just wanted to say I love your instructables and workshop organization. I'm new to woodworking and am limited to a corner (almost a side) of a 1 car garage. My 1st project was to design and make myself a 2' x 2' expandable workbench/outfeed table that has my vise and a fold down side table. My design so far lets me expand it to approx 44" x 56" (which I'd like to try my first instructable on). I've been looking to use the walls for storage like you have done to increase my usable areas. Thank you for this it will come in handy...its already changed my mind about a cleat wall! I will continue to follow all your projects.

I love this! I replied on another comment about sealers but I also noticed the spaces between books in the stacked sections. I'd consider whimsical things to put in them to avoid trash getting shoved in. Maybe small shadow boxes (much like a book it makes you want to look deeper inside), or small characters from books (I know they sell small busts of Terry Pratchett's Discworld characters), maybe even secret little people (fairy/gnome/pixies) holes. Maybe secret "mailboxes" for love letters to authors, Santa, etc. Its such a beautiful display I'd hate to see it ruined by careless people. I'm inspired!

I wondered about that myself. I was more concerned that the constant awe and touching would discolor the pages and eventually wear down the fabric on the covers. I thought a more gummy sealer like modge podge would be best.. I've used it on a secret compartment book and it worked well. But definately a beautiful use for old books!

We make something similar but drizzle it with jar pickle juice before baking...they taste like healthy fried pickles.

This idea of printing connectors could be broadened for use with bending pvc for arched shapes also. Your post is kind of a head slap for me, I just 3d printed connectors for my granddaughters barbie tent that had some missing pieces. I never thought to use them as a life size connector...hmm? *Brain gears turning*
