This is awesome. I want to do something like this but might try using an LCD display. So far I have only got as far as buying a remote trigger - I can confirm that a $15 one works as well as the $100 Nikon one so far.

Further ideas for people - plexiglass over the front to defeat the Cat Menace, and recess it into a 'fridge door (even behind the actual door metal if it would still work). Way cool anyway, and congratulations on finishing this!

Beautiful speakers, i do like the mix of woods. I have actually never worn goggles when sodering (i rely on my glasses i guess), but i do when I'm using other power tools. I don't have bench tools, but everything I've read does suggest using push sticks for a lot of the things you're doing. For your plane, sharpening the blade might make a big difference, and I've found spraying the base with spray silicon makes it a lot easier too.Great project, and great match to your living room.

I have never done casting, but I really wouldn't recommend pouring molten metal into anything that is still damp, so if you are going to make a mould make sure you bake it thoroughly.Sometimes the best method of learning is doing, but I'm sure sometimes it is reading too.

There are Bearded axes, which admittedly could still be female if you count Dwarves (Tolkein-style).

That's a beautiful table, demonstrating careful yet confident work. It is simple and elegant. I must say, your pictures illustrate it wonderfully, and your video is as carefully crafted as the table itself!

Regarding the height setting; one way to do this would be to make (carve / buy / 3d print) some toothed pulleys that fit over the nuts on the underside of the platform and then string a toothed belt around them. Loosen off the top wingnuts, and then turn the belt which turns all the setting pulleys at the same time.
The only suggestion I have might be to find a way to turn the central threaded rod around the other way so the adjuster is in the clear air rather than between the sliders. You could then easily hook it up to a pulley (like a radio tuner), or servo. Good job, it is a great illustration of the concept.
