Did you wind up making a build? If not, I would say that yes, you could totally paper-mache or paint the uke. There are some examples on here in the comments where people have painted them. If you paper-mache, I'd say to make sure you get good adhesion, as you might get parts that buzz with the vibration. I can't really speak to the sound with different finishes, but I can say that I was surprised at the sound of the uke as is and I would think that anything that helps the sound to better resonate inside the shell would be an improvement. But I don't claim to be a luthier or acousitics engineer.
Looks great! Nice clean build!
Hi. I can see the PDFs attached to the "Templates" step of the Instructable. Do you see the there? Do you get an error if you click them?

Love the mod and curvey shapes! I just got a laser cutter so I'm excited to make some "fancy" wood uke stands!
Sorry, I was having trouble logging on from my phone. Did you get the answer you needed. I would say "yes" assuming that you measure in cm and your computer is set up in cm, it should all work out!

Nah. I created it through a really complicated process I call WordCAD. I make most of my drawings in Microsoft Word using lines and arcs, if you draw to scale it works out pretty well. I write a lot of techincial reports at work and have gotten to know Word pretty well.
Those turned out beautiful!!!
