    Powerful Modern Homemade HDTV Antenna

I made it but I live about 150 miles from any TV station so I didn't get any channels. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to get any but I wanted to try anyway. I'm pretty sure it would work if I lived close enough. Sense so many other people got it to work. I'm going to keep it and when I go see someone that lives close to the TV station I'll try it then. Thanks Holly

    The Easter Solar Engine

Would it be possible to use this with the Tesla Utilization of TV & radio waves instead of the Solar Panel?

I'll be putting it together anyway but I would like to hear what you think. Thanks

I asked about not getting credit for that lesson and the next time I looked it said it was completed. I don't think it really made any difference except that I kinda wanted credit for what I did. After all, I didn't finish the lessons. I would have Had to get a smartphone. I don't get one phone call a month and most of the time I don't make more than one call per month. So I just couldn't see getting one.

    Telepresence Robot: Edge Detection

I just learned something about this Edge Detectionsensor. It was dark when I came in and I turned a lamp on at thetable and started to take the wiring out of it to see if I could findwhat was wrong but thought I'd turn the switch on one more timebefore I took it apart. I turned it on and the LEDs came on and itcame toward me, it got to the edge of the table and stopped it turnedtoward the lamp and backed up and turned toward the dark side of thetable and moved forward to the edge and stopped at the edge andturned. It wouldn't move forward toward the light. As long as it wasmoving to the dark side of the table it worked, when it turned towardthe lamp it wouldn't go forward. I hope this helps someone. My Edge Detectionsensor doesn't work in the daylight. It works in a dim light.I...

My Edge Detectionsensor doesn't work in the daylight. It works in a dim light. In the morning when the Sun was up I changed theif(compareValue > 100) to if(compareValue > 10) and that worksuntil it goes into the Sun light on the table. When it hits theSunlight it stops and backs up and turns.Because it took so long to get the Edge Detection sensorto work I started working on the Distance sensor. That's why the PingDistance sensor is in these photos.

Here's the new version. The cardboard box was OK but I like the plastic one better, I can see the components inside. Some how that makes it better. I went ahead and installed a toggle switch. I went to the last lesson to see where it goes so it wouldn't get in the way of something else. I like that better than pulling a battery in and out. I made a video but it wouldn't upload.

I reshaped the toothbrushes and put it on a smooth floor. It worked fine. I tried to send a video but had a problem uploading it. I guess I need to take a lesson on videoing.

While I was waiting for some of thethings I ordered to get here, things I needed to build the nextproject, I thought I'd go ahead and start putting it together. One ofthe things I needed is a plastic box so I found a cardboard box aboutthe right size and used it. Now I'm wondering if it will be alrightto use a cardboard box? I expect to get the plastic box any day nowand I intend to put all the stuff in the plastic box when I get it. Ithink it would be classier to use the plastic box, but now that it'stogether, it works OK. I'm wondering how much I can change thingsfrom the way you did it and it'll still be alright? When I get it in the plastic containerI'll re-post it.

I changed the angle on the toothbrushes and it worked better. I also put it on a smooth floor.here's another video.

I'll do that. I couldn't find any scrub brushes like you had. I looked on Amazon and Ebay. I'm gathering the parts I need for the next project, That one is really going to be Cool!! Thanks for starting this class.

    Skitter Bot

On the Skitter Bot I didn't have a corner brace so I made one out of wood. It worked pretty good.I added an on/off switch on this one. When I wired it I got the wires crossed going to the motor. When I turned it on the leg moved over and stopped moving. I crossed the wires coming out of the battery box and it worked fine. I used a plastic box that had a flimsy lid but the bottom was pretty stiff so I put the servo in the bottom of the box and mounted the battery pack to the lid. I used a heat gun to heat the tooth brushes so I could bend them. They weren't bent the right way and didn't work right. I'm not sure if this bot is suppose to move forward and backward but it seems to work. It doesn't go anywhere. I like that DPDT switch. ( the H-Bridge)
