How to Make a 24 Plait 5 Belly Nylon Bullwhip
Dear god this is an EPIC instructable! I've been into knotting over the years and have made some decent nautical bellropes etc., but this is next level! Actually 100+ levels! I have a very nice leather bullwhip that I bought when I was into juggling and related stuff many years ago. I think I'm going to start with one of the simpler tutes you recommend and come back here in a couple of years. Thanks so much for your generosity in sharing all this. Truly one of the best 'ibles I've seen in the many years I've been poking around here.
What a great instructable! Thanks for sharing. Your YouTube channel looks fantastic too - subscribed and excited to explore.

Thanks again, Lindsley, I have another set of triangles foiled and ready to solder.I thought I'd share another really good dome calculator that has a few more options than the (excellent) desertdomes one:http://acidome.ru/lab/calc
Done! See above :D
Haha, no worries :) I'm wondering if there's a perfect semi-flex filament that could be rigid enough to support the concrete, but might make demanding easier.Give it a go, it's a great project!
Thank you! Getting some interest and working on a batch! Also found a very good dome calculator: http://acidome.ru/lab/calc

3D Printed Molds Casting Tutorial: Complex Shapes
He said "This mold is meant to be 3D printed (PLA, or ABS, does not matter)"Of those two I'd probably go with ABS for strength, the mold takes a bit of beating when getting the cast out (even with a coat of Pam). I used nylon which may have been overkill and stuck like hell to the print bed. PETG could be best of both worlds (strong and easier to print).
Great project, thanks for sharing. Been wanting to 3D print molds for a while and this got me off to a great start. Looking into multi-part molds next.I printed in nylon as I figured the mold might take a bit of a beating when getting the cast out (it did). Worked well but left a crazy residue on my print bed - I thought it was warped for a while but I was able to scrape it off with paint scraper and razor blades. Weird. I finished with a couple of coats of Tuff Duck. I plan on designing original molds and offering planters for sale, but as I already have this mold printed I wondered if you'd mind if I offered casts of this design too. No worries if not! Thanks! PS I know my plant is too small, hoping it'll grow! :D

Great instructable, thanks for sharing! I made mine using copper foil/solder stained glass techniques and it worked out really well. Going to make more and maybe a globe.
