I love every kind of crafting, needleworks, sewing, painting and other arts. Also very fond of nature and my garden (which is almost the same) and of music, as I play and teach the guitar and the ukulele and sing in 2 choirs. My family and me love good cooking and eating of course! I'm married and mother of two grown up daughters and grandmother of a 10 year old granddaughter.
  • How to Make Slime Without Borax + Lesson Plan

Hi, I'd like to try making this with my granddaughter, but I don't get Elmer's glue here in Germany and I think ordering it from the US is too expensive. Is there any other glue convenient for the recipe or can you tell me which ingredients have to be in the glue I use and which shouldn't?

    Wire Roses Ring

Wonderful rings! How did you do the patina? Is it some kind of paint or a special chemical? Did you write an instructable for a ring with a bead or gem, too?

  • Leafeon Gijinka Cosplay Build

Wonderfully designed costume! You and your friends really look cute! Until now, I didn't know that there are "humanized Pokémon characters" existing. I'm quite fascinated by the world of cosplay, although I don't partage in it, as I'm too old to wear such costumes. Anyhow, I like to design and make other costumes for me or my daughters or my grandchild. Question: Did you just buy the two-coloured tights like this or did you somehow paint/paintbrush/dye them? If so, which paint did you use?

Wonderful "faux amber"! Good explanations! I could imagine doing similar faux gems in other colours. And I'd try to leave the back free of the clay in order to let light come through the gems.

The calendar cover is wonderful, such a good idea! Your friend Tina is lucky!

I reply to myself to show more photos of my work, which I forgot to upload. On the detailed Photo you may see how I did the rim: I stitched with two other colours into the chain stitch to create a multicolour rim. You'll slso see how different it comes out with the different kinds of floss.

    Floral Stitch Sampler

As it is not possible to reply to myself to show more photos of my work, which I forgot to upload, I here open another "Made it" for the same work.On the detailed Photos you may see how I did the rim: I stitched with two other colours into the chain stitches to create a multicolour rim. You'll also see how different it comes out with the different kinds of floss. The back side of my sampler you don't want to see, believe me!@ Jessy: Your explanations are very clear and easy to understand. Thank you. Funny, that you do the chain stitch the other way round as I've learned it. I do it like many "lazy daisies" one chained to the other, without going under the stitch with the needle, but making a loop and fix it with the next loop. (difficult to explain in English)

    Floral Stitch Sampler

I made it yesterday just for the fun of learning two new stitches, the spiderweb-flower and the closed fly-stitch. The other stitches I already knew, but a little practising was good. From the photos I learned the to me new stitches easily and fast, and I'm a little proud of my sampler!I think I don't hang it up, but will use it for something to wear, e.g. a bag or shirt or a cushion.Thank you for the inspiration, I like it so much!I drew it directly with a pencil on the fabric, added some flowers, leaves and vines and used other colours. As I did'nt have all colours of the same kind of floss, I just used what I had: "normal" floss and "pearl-floss".

    DIY Easy Concrete Letters

I will instantly order the molds and make some letters as easter-gifts! A technical question: did you put anything into the molds before filling them with concrete? (e.g. a layer of grease, sand, powder, moisture....?!?) Or does it work without that?
