The aim throughout my career has been to achieve excellence in all aspects of my work and thus contribute to the development of nursing practice, research and education, patient care and nursing knowledge. As can be seen from the following, this contribution has received international recognition, particularly in the fields of clinical nursing practice and research, the integration of the arts into practice and a Buddhist approach to mindfulness in education and in my educational activities.
