The Maltese is a modest, hardy puppy with silky hair. The body is compact, very good-boned, but strong and marginally longer than it is tall with a stage prime line. The chest is deep. The skull is a bit rounded on the leading with a reasonable quit. The medium duration muzzle tapers, but not to a position.
