Hello there. First, great project! I'm currently in the gathering supplies phase, but while doing research i discovered that resistors are connected to the anode while you had them connected to the cathode. Wouldn't the current fry the LED before it gets stepped down by the resistor? I could be completely off, but let me know if i'm right or wrong.

how would i change the code if i used an arduino uno instead of nano?

So I'm in the process of building this. thanks for the code, but I believe I've noticed a problem with the schematic. in the arduino circuit you provided, the 5v grounds immediately through the photocell without being able to be read by the arduino pins. i did some research on other laser harps, and several recommended(in order) 5v, photocell, arduino pin, resistor, then ground. this would allow the resistance value to be read before grounding out, please let me know if i'm correct of if i'm completely wrong, as i've only made the frame so far and haven't yet made and tested the circuit. thanks.

could anyone help me with the code? The provided code works for 9 lasers, but I bought a 10 pack of lasers and i'd like to use them all. Either that or only use 6 for a laser guitar. Thanks.

Man, that's some beautiful spaulting. Along with the blood red epoxy, that's a great showpiece you have. +1

Borax for roaches (I believe) is actually boric acid, and you should not use it. standard laundry borax, such as 20 mule team, is what you should use as it melts and acts like a flux to fuse the layers together.

thank you!
View Instructable »honestly, I loved this project. start with the small skull, as I said it only cost $25 and if you have leftover material like me, the rest is made for free.

I did mine a little differently. Since I don't have a projector, I printed a picture, drew a grid on it, then drew a grid on the wall so I could trace the picture. Turned out well!
pro tip- do NOT use salt. although the grainy texture prevents the pieces from sliding around, salt interacts chemically with wood glue and weakens it. using just a touch may not ruin it completely, but it'll still be weakened. if your pieces slide around when clamping, then you're using too much glue.
