Wooden Threads With Your Router Table
Awesome rolling pin! I cut down several pear trees that my Grandparents had brought over from Italy to their new home in Windsor, Ontario decades earlier. After they passed and the property was sold, the new owners didn't want them, so I turned rolling pins out of the beautiful smooth easy to turn pear wood for the whole family. Everybody got one and small mixing bowls to boot and they treasure them to this day. While doing research on a food safe finish I found that Walnut oil is available everywhere and a great finish that actually hardens a bit and is easily rejuvenated. Plus, its wonderful on a salad. Walnut oil on a rag with some natural beeswax does wonders when applied to a spinning piece of work. Good job man.
