This never happens:Simply connect the microUSB port on the Rtlduino to your PC and launch a serial terminal program such as the Arduino IDE Serial Monitor or PuTTY. Set the baud rate of the terminal to 38,400. The terminal should display "AT COMMAND READY" and a # prompt from the Rtlduino. You can type "AT" through the terminal and receive an "OK" in response. And I can't find anything that says how to make the connection.

Yes I was able to verify that the COM port was correct. See my response above about using a new laptop.
Sorry for the lapse in response. Had a family issue come up.I tried the following with the RTLduino:Three different USB cables. ( One of which was a new cable that I went out and bought just to make sure it as a good cable)Verified COM port, baud rate, etc. (I see the AT command, in the serial monitor, I type but no response at all from the RTLduino)If the firmware had been cleared how would I check for that?I did send an email to support but never saw a response, which i found very unusual as every other time I have contacted you I received a response. :)I am currently in the process of changing the laptop that I normally use. Got a little better laptop to use. Have not had a chance to trace back through all the steps yet, but I am going to. (I am guessing that maybe the failed email con…

(I am guessing that maybe the failed email connection might have been the laptop as well.)My biggest problem is that I had a hard time finding anything about "what happens if you can't connect to the RTLduino".Which by the way I am not sure how I am supposed to proceed with the firmware update if I can't get connected to the RTLduino. Any suggestions?
