Be cool if you could add a switch which would activate from the force exerted when spinning (centrifugal, i think) something that works dimilar to a tilt switch. Then it would be normally off until you spin it.

I'm thinking you could use any flavor pudding couldn't you?

Finding this late, but i didnt see anything about the added bonus of the built in UPS.

Is the amount of flour critical, or could you lower the amount some to get closer to an actual pancake batter consistency?

Im curious. Would this same technique work for persimmon seeds too?

Actually, based on your first video, turn the blue laser box clockwise and the red counter-clockwise until the patterns are pretty well lined up. To make each perform a different dance, put an inductor in series with the audio output and a capacitor across the output of one color and its movements will be primarily controlled by the lows (cutoff is based on component values). Switch the orientation of the same components on a second color, and all three will.be doing something different.

Great instrucable. Could you list sources for the parts?

Very cool. If i might add a suggestion, in my opinion, it would add an extra dimension if you used filters on your audio outputs. Pass only the lows to one color, middle frewuencies to the second and highs to the third. Then each color will have a different "dance" to perform. Also, based on what you described with leaving the second mirror "finger tight, if you wanted to overlap the three beams, this could be accomplished by lesving thd first mirror loose in the same way, allowing you to change where the besm strikes the second mirror.

Use a 741 op amp with a high value feedback resistor followed by your last transistor amp and i believe you could get very near the same performance with adjustable sensitivity.

Thanks for the math on that, and youre right, an 8 watt resistor WOULD be rather unwieldy for use. I fidnt know what the numbers were to work with.
View Instructable »Im thinking a complete short of the filament would result in enough of a current increase in the circuit that it would shorten the remaining life in the good filament. Would this work with and possibly be more efficient if a resistor with a value between the 20 - 30 ohms. I dont know whst sort of voltages and currents woild be involved, but it would be interesting to find out if s resistor of a proper power rating could be used and if so how the light would compare with your fix.

I suspect that for any "usefull" applicatons, this would require several leds in parallel. Is that correct? Havd you tried measuring current output? Four in srries with enough parallel rows to get a useful current might just charge your cell phone. Worth comparing to a solar cell with similar padameters.
