nope, unfortunately. You need to implement and current/power monitoring system with a cut out switch or similar

This is brilliant, well done!I have been trying to come up with a novel approach to interactive LED lighting displays for a while and I am delighted that you have created this and shared it with the community. It's now on my build list :)

Nice beginner project. I like the teaching moment principle. You can get small battery holders, similar to the one used, that incorporate a switch. That makes it much easier to power on and off and doesn't require any changes to the construction.Cheers

Nice projectIf you want to enhance it, try adding another LED in the middle and simulate the actual pattern in the die face (e.g. "one" in the middle, "two" diagonally on the outside corners, etc.)

Hi,I just found this series and I was very impressed, particularly the neat use of zip ties for the assembly. But the part that really caught my eye was the clever use of DTMF tones for remote control via the mic module.I have been worked in electronics/engineering for many years and I currently teach some after school STEM classes. These classes span a range of topics including simple robotics. This has triggered some really interesting ideas to use in those classes.ThanksPS. I think I may have to build a version as well (as if I don't already have enough projects on the go :) )

What a great project. Really impressed. One little update for your circuit diagram, the potentiometer should have the connector in the middle with the arrow connected to the LED instead of the end.:)

instead of cutting off the end of the laptop supply lead you could solder a socket/lead onto the buck converter and plug it into the laptop supply. That way the laptop supply is still usable for other things like, say, a laptop :)
What a great idea and a very good detailed instructable on Tinkercad.I had never thought of combining my 3D printer items with cloth like that.Well Done :)
