Good points! I'm super lazy too, trying to fix it rn. I have mixed feelings about the Google AI kits. They're really good, too good. I mean I really wish it was some startup or company that did this instead (well some startup probably has, but more like I wish google hadn't). All that stuff like Distribution of power, Google's-already-set-to-be-scary-good-at-AI, etc.
I'm trying to recreate a simpler version as well. I was thinking about using Amazon echo dot and Google Firebase (I already have this), but just using a raspberry pi sounds even better! Could you post a remix of this project or something similar? I'm sure there are a lot of people here looking for cheaper/simpler versions.
I am going to attempt to recreate this project using Amazon Echo and Azure. Any tips? Do you think it's possible with echo dot?
Dude, you're a maker superhero! Thanks for all the tips!
Sorry, it looks like you've already covered this in the photos. It looks like you use IFTT (which also has Alexa support) to connect the Google home to the Particle photon which talks to Azure which talks to its query and then returns a result. But, I still don't get how the github is used. Is it a webpage that runs continously in some way? Does it hold the code which Azure runs? Sorry for all the questions, I'm a beginner.

Doesn't it defeat the purpose of hiding it if we post a photo of it here? :P"Good luck, and do post a photo if you try it :-)"

I found a possible stronger motor!https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mabuchi-RS-555-PH-6V-DC-2...It's 6 volts, but is faster than yours. It's actually smaller than it looks, you probably have the space for it! You'd need to figure out a way to hold the gear in place on that smooth shaft. Let me know what you think!

Great costume, but I think it would have been better if the white eye piece had been rounded and right up against the edge of the helmet.

And Amazon; I wouldn't trust eBay when buying batteries. I found these, which are pretty decent: https://www.amazon.com/9900mAh-Batteries-Rechargeable-Battery-Charger/dp/B072XHMN3P/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1510584522&sr=8-7They don't really have 9900 mAh, which an extremely ridiculous number for an 18650 battery, but more like 2000 mAh. Which is still pretty good, adding the price and the amount.
