I think this would work for any current Garmin series. I've got a 62s and other than the screen shots, it makes sense.
Is the downloaded file named gmapsupp.img too? I usually rename mine to be descriptive of the map. Garmin might also only allow one file by that name and it's probably in the Garmin folder on the unit.

Ring lights are typically intended for macro work. The corner of the macbook is the only photo I see that is meets that type of criteria. I'd be interested in seeing some flowers or insects or something of that variety for a better sense of its intended purpose. Because of the lights being in line with the lens, there also seems to be some red eye in the people pictures. That would be resolved with a flash unit either on or off camera. But also outside the scope of this instructable.
This looks great. I have a bunch of old PVC that I used to make a ladder golf game and was looking to repurpose it.I'm going to give this a try.
