Ditch the turf for an additional kind of dog-friendly yard ground cover to prevent this task. For a small backyard, fence in the whole area to make it feel bigger. For larger backyards, fence in a part of it to develop a backyard pet run as well as allow for fancier landscape design outside the fencing.
