Honestly I'm not sure if others will look at it and find it unsettling. Its perfectly symmetrical and even... and my eyes really looked at it as 2 different projects too. Again great job! And thanks for inspiring me to get to work on my new one. I'll post pics when done. Take care. Patrick
View Instructable »Liebestod77 - Thank you so much for showing me your project. This turned out really nice! Your ash bench top is beautiful! I also really like the 5 coat hooks how it looks with 4 shelves below. I live in a new house now and will be making another mudroom bench soon. I wanted more hooks than spots for shoes and I was wondering how it would look. Turns out for me my eyes look at the hooks and then at the shoes, never really all at once. Thanks for showing me it can look super clean, and still very symmetrical. Congrats on getting it finished. And thank you again for sharing.

Nice work! That is pretty awesome. My favorite part is your height that works with your other tables. Great idea!

Great video! I've made pocket hole doors, and drawers before... and its been 8 years and mine still look great. I'm sure yours will too! Actually yours look better than mine do. This video is helpful as I've been wanting to make some new ones recently and I was never quite sure if I made them right the first time. Thanks for the video and all of the explanations. Much appreciate it!

Fantastic video. Funny you call it 5 tips... and I came up with over 9 useful tips. Thanks for posting. Helped me make these, this past weekend. I've struggled with Glue Joints for years and have been intimidated by my jointer (silly I know). But you helped me through it. I feel much better about it now. Thanks again for a great tutorial.

Great videos, and well done! I'm new to your channel here. I'm now following for sure. Just wish I would have watched your cutting circles video before some mishaps this past weekend. Haha. Your post came at the right time. I was struggling what to make my mom. I made this, this past weekend... and had a small scrap piece left over to make a smaller cutting board too. Thanks again for the ideas. If you ever saw my shop... we have about 70% of the same tools. Although you seem to know what to do with them better than I do. Thanks again.

Thank you for looking . Yes I did on the top piece. On the bottom I actually used a piece of 4" in trim, but you could use 4" pine and and quarter round. Thanks again and good luck.

Awesome!!! Thank you for sharing. I think it looks terrific. Great to get this message from you. I actually moved out of that house about 4 years ago. Not too long after I posted my mudroom. I do miss it much. We are actually working on a new one too. Your post inspired me to get to work on my new one too. Thanks again for checking it out.

Jessica - Thanks for checking out this instructible. I don't live at this house anymore. I moved 3 years ago. Looking at my pictures and measuring myself its right at 5 feet 1 inches. My bench was 19 inches if I remember right. I took my longest jacket and held a hook to it, to make sure it would not drag. That is how I determined the height. Good luck on yours.

Your videos are my favorite! Its a good thing we are not neighbors... I'd probably come over every day to see what you were making. Makes me want to make one, and I don't even skateboard. Great job as always!

Thanks for the comment. I bought it at the Woodworkers Shop in Pekin, IL. Feel free to call them and ask for Jason. I'm sure they would ship it out.

The store I bought them sells them for $70+ brand new. They are a lumber supply company not a Home Store or Hardware Store. They have a fleet of about 15+ trucks that deliver to job sites daily. They probably sell 100+ full sheets a day. I found some that were in their dunnage pile that they would not be able to sell at $70. They had pencil markings on them, and dents in the corners, or maybe a couple stress marks from the straps. To find one of these in your area, ask a large home builder in your area where they get their lumber from. Then try them. I hope that helps.

I too have made one of these. Here is a picture from 5 long (but so short) years ago. I can't believe how fast they grow! I wanted to show you my picture to say how much better yours is! Well thought out. I wish I would have seen this earlier. I would have voted for you. Good luck!

Maybe the best Instructable I've seen yet. Your video is also a work of art. What are the headphones you use? Do they block out sound, and would you recommend them?

Thanks Erica for the compliment. Good luck building this, I'd love to see pictures. The hardware we purchased from Restoration Hardware. It's called the Ephram Hook. They are 7.5in tall. 7in sounds big on paper, but once on the wall was just the right size. Our finish was Oil Rubbed Bronze. Good luck!

Thanks Jrr for the compliment... and I'm sorry I'm just replying. I don't have any measurements, and I can't get them, as I moved out of that house about 3 months ago. :(. I want to say its about 50 inches long and 12 inches deep, and right about 19 inches high if I were to remember. It will obviously vary on your space.
Thanks for the pics Andy... you made my day. Thank you. Great job on your project. Looks terrific!

I've not had a Churro in the last 9 years since going Gluten Free. Thank you for posting. By the way I've been to Applebee's and McDonalds they each serve French fries but make them a little different... however they each still call them fries. :). Thanks again.
