Incremental Sheet Forming - an Introduction
I like this! I'm going to have to look into doing something along these lines on my (very underutilized) Shapeoko!I'd bet if you did a rough carve of either pine, mdf or foam to serve as a buck the results could be interesting. On my list of things to try!

The Making of "Myrtle the Turtle"
Very nice tutorial! Another excuse for me to get some welding equipment!
I use this system also but sometimes it just becomes easier to go out and purchase a new tool rather than spend the time searching for the one I KNOW I have someplace.
actually, I'm using the Shapeoko to custom cut cedar shingles, no need for paint!
Keep up the posts! I've been following your builds just waiting for some free time to actually try one out (too involved with a whole house reno right now and have a Shapeoko3 to play with anyhow). Thank you for the detailed builds!
Good instructable. I just recently put a vacuum system for clamping and pressing and will likely follow your instructions for a different platen (I have been using PVC foam core and gasket material). Quick question: What bit are you using for surfacing the spoil board?
Very nice, gives me a couple of good ideas for when I enclose my S3!
