A tube-bending spring is designed to prevent a kink. I don't see how sand can accomplish the same thing.
Also help prevent a kink? That's the primary goal. Sand would be something I would try only if it's the only method available. It has to be dry and kept under pressure.As to the saw, JohnR35, is spot on. This saw is only useful for the lightest duty as PVC can't possible keep the needed tension on the blade. AS a matter of fact, as soon as you push, the blade has no tension on it-- you're compressing it.
