As is with any vibrant color, you'll need to bleach your hair to get it to look like the bottle. If you don't bleach your hair, you'll get a darker version of it.If you look at the Manic Panic website, it gives you a good idea of how it can look.https://manicpanic.com/pages/faqs

No. The way I do it, and it works well, is to measure out the soap first and place it in the bucket. Then I add the guar gum and mix it until it's frothy. After that, I add the water and combine.I use my hands to scrape the bottom and sides. It produces a lot of foam, but I just pour it into the sprayer, leaving the foam behind. Or you could wait until the foam breaks down in an hour.

That seems a bit short, but it could work. The tent pole I used was 40", but about 6" is used as a handle. If the 30" sprayer doesn't include the handle, it might work.I like the idea of it since you wouldn't really need tubing and the build is only to make the cotton loop, weight, and perpendicular extension arm.It will make folding it down a lot easier.I saw some extension sprayers in a quick search, but they seemed expensive and didn't have the pressure pump tank included. If I could afford it and it was easy to obtain, yeah, I would go for it.

Thanks! Hope you try to make it and that there's still good weather to try it out!

I don't see that photo. The only photo I have for step 7 is the bubbles over the canal. It sounds interesting, so maybe point me to it if you can.

I used J-Lube for years, but recently tried guar gum and it works so much better. It's thinner, yet strong.Maybe I was mixing too much J-Lube, but with guar gum, you honestly can't go wrong. It's not precise - if you add too little, it still makes bubbles. If you add too much, it seems to get even better.Definitely try it!

Ah, cool. Was surprised people's still read newsletters. Interesting! Thanks!
Thanks for the info! 😊
Ah, thanks. If you have any issues with your build, let me know and I'll try to help you. It's the feeder that's the most finicky - just make sure the tube is connected without any leaks and if shoots out too much bubble solution, use plastic wrap to tightly squeeze and restrict the clump of cotton yarn (at the top of mine, you see it).
View Instructable »You don't really need it. You can use cotton rope and remove the center synthetic core. Or you can go to the craft store and look at the yarns. The one I used is this one. I found it at Panduro, which is a Swedish craft store.

Aww, thank you! It makes me happy to think that around the world, people will be spreading bubble joy! Honestly, since I made it, I go out after work to relax and blow bubbles. I put on headphones (because I want me time) and stand over a bridge for people to enjoy while I watch the long bubbles form. Super relaxing!
You can find them from Amazon, AliExpress, or some craft stores. Search Thermoplastic beads. They melt in hot water, so they're easy to use for repairs and such. A jar the size of mayonnaise jar will last you years (I've had mine for over 7 years and still only used a quarter of it).You can use it for a lot of stuff like modeling, making quick molds, reinforcing broken parts, or quick prototypes since it can easily be heated up again to do small adjustments.
Just curious, but where did y'all see this Instructable of mine? It's been featured for two weeks and I had maybe 600 views, but just in the last 24 hours, it seems it shot up to 14,000 views. Was it written about somewhere? I'm just wondering, is all. Thanks,Tien
View Instructable »Aww, thanks. The idea wasn't my own, but the construction was. Basically, you just need the feeding system, as that's the most important part.

I guess it's the type III 550. It's the standard paracord you buy at the hardware store. It's plenty strong enough. The more important part is the corner on the shade. Make a knot and tie it such that the cord won't slip. I wouldn't recommend using eyelets or anything that cuts the fabric because over time, that could tear. A knot and a good binding will do the trick.
