Very good looking implementation of Tech Ingredients speaker design. Kudos.Maybe a small subwoofer would help balance the sound out for more low frequency depth.

How about adding a picture of what it all looks like folded up?

Nice setup. Good job. I will have to check out your GitHub page and study your OS.One quick question. Since the Raspberry Pi Zero W has WiFi and Bluetooth built in, why is a WiFi adapter also necessary? The Pi can already create an AP using its built-in chipset.Thanks.

Very nice looking solar shield you came up with. It looks like it would be quite effective in nulling out the affects of the sunlight. Hopefully you have continued with other phases of your weather station.Kudos...

The last paragraph in Step 2 is where he mentions that he got his setup off of eBay.I was not able to find a 3 wire setup in 6 volts, in fact, I have not been able to find any reference numbers to it, so I am assuming it is no longer made, leaving 1 wire the only real option left.

I have bought more than 1 Raspberry Pi Zero W for $10 on eBay, and the Pi Zero without wireless on eBay is generally 5 to 7 dollars.Since the Raspberry Pi operates using open source, some people think of it in the same light as the Arduino, which has open sourced not only the software, but also the board itself. Raspberry Pi does not allow their board into the open source arena, but they do publish their schematics for their boards. While this could lead to counterfeits, I have not heard of this being a problem. There are, however, many Single Board Computers out there that look and function very closely to the Raspberry Pi, but they are not clones, per se.

In this particular case, this project is using a Raspberry Pi Zero, which costs about $5-$10. Even the Raspberry Pi Zero W that has bluetooth and WiFi is only about $10 also.

Nice Instructable, you nailed it when you said that people would grab various sections of it for inspiration. Great way to get a couple of buttons on a relay board for manual operation.

The Qi charging system is for wirelessly charging cell phones. I have the Samsung version for my cell phone that works the same way, and looks pretty much the same as the Qi. It is just an inductive coupled system to use for connectorless charging.

Since it measures the voltage each time, I don't see why a constant current load is necessary to make it more accurate. It knows the time elapsed, the voltage, and the resistance of the load. Why would a constant load make it any more accurate?

Good instructable. One question though. I know this is 3 years old, but is the eBay seller that you got your alternator through still doing business? If so, could you post his name? The reason I ask is that I am having an impossible time finding a 3 wire alternative to the 1 wire setup. Or if you know the part number to your alternator or voltage regulator, that would be handy to know too.As you pointed out, there are advantages to the 3 wire system that I would like to enjoy.Thanks...

My old PACE soldering instructor would be having a fit over this. While it is neat looking, in a way, I cant imagine it being as structurally strong as a proper solder joint. Concave fillets are part of the proof that you have a joint that was made at the proper temperature, from what my ancient brain remembers.

Theoretical range of the NRF24L01 is about 100 meters outdoors with no obstructions. This deminishes going indoors and with obstructions and other forms of interference.
Overall, a nice instructable that I have gleaned some good info from. The only niggle I can find is that your link to the solar panel goes to the laptop power supply instead. Thanks for sharing your work.
