I think you'll probably find diluted comfrey tea is a better option. Harvest comfrey and place in a bucket, fill with fresh water, place a lid on it and leave for at least a month (stir it once a week if you're brave enough as it smells!). When the tea is 'brewed' strain off and dilute well, it's strong stuff! Place the remaining sludge onto your compost heap, and water the diluted tea around your plants. It's a good fertilizer and has no salt build up in the soil.

Do be aware that if you don't dilute the final product enough you can scorch and kill your plants. Also, any medication you may be taking will filter through to your plants ... urine, however much you dilute it, can build up salts in your soil/compost. Just a word of warning, ok. :-)
You are very talented! Thank you for sharing this - not sure if I'm yet brave enough to have a go just yet, but your instructions should make it very straightforward if I do.Happy New Year from London, UK :-)
