This is absolutely beautiful and I watched the entire video. Every time I watch a concrete video, whether it is in India, Mexico or USA or anywhere around the world, the concrete looks like perfect sculpting clay. What or where do you get THAT kind of concrete? I use concrete/cement on many simple projects, but never is it like yours in the video. How do you get it to drip like cake batter? I look up videos on how to make perfect concrete and still cannot do it. I don't know if it is the type of concrete to buy or if it is how to mix it correctly with tools or is it the water ratio. Thanks for any feedback and I am so jealous of your talent! Just stunning!

I love Arthur! He is so pretty! May I ask how old he is? He reminds me of my Jordan, a female though. She has that "regal" look that says "I am Queen and I own you!" ha haLOVE the throne too! I am probably one of four people who did not watch GOT, so I might make her a nice queen type of chair from her cardboard boxes she sits in. Great idea with elevating it. - sheripres commented on Wiferneer's instructable Weighted Blanket - Including What to Know Before You StartView Instructable »
I would never use shelled corn in a blanket. If the corn got wet, I think it would probably expand.Shelled corn emits moisture at first. So, when you heat it in the microwave for the first 20 or so times, it is a nice moist heat. Then, the moisture part eventually goes away and you have just heat. Then, when it sounds like marbles and gets really hot and cools down quickly (and it smells like burning corn), toss it in the garbage or put it in your freezer for a summer cool down.If I am using my freezer corn neck wraps outside in the summer, I just wrap it in paper towels so I don't get it all sweaty from my neck.Going from microwave for a few years to a freezer, there are definitely no bugs or other insects in the wraps. I would not trust just filling a blanket with shelled corn.

I give you credit! I don't think I have the patience to do this. You do absolutely beautiful work!I want to share a story. I make heating pads from shelled corn. I have one for my neck and I made myself a six channel pad that I put in the microwave for three minutes and when I go to bed, I lay it on my chest/torso and I immediately fall asleep. I have been doing this for years. In the Summer, I still use it, but I will put it in the freezer.I never gave thought that I created a mini weighted blanket for myself! For me, it is perfect because I sleep on my back and do not move except for my legs, so this is perfect for me.Now, if anyone is wondering, I get my shelled corn from my local feed mill and it is around $9 for a FIFTY pound bag! I also use it to make cornhole bags.I also ha…

I would think it would be stressful for a bird being trapped in a box. Wouldn't it just go crazy and fly around in the box to exhaustion? I am seriously asking that question since I don't know. I can understand if you have a pet bird or if a bird came in your house, but to just catch them for the fun of it doesn't sound like it is fun for the bird. These are just my thoughts; not saying what you do is right or wrong.

I can see SandiYG's point. But, I must say, your kitty looks really comfortable in their bed! I buy Shelled Corn from my local feed mill. Depending on how big you want it, you can create channels so that the corn doesn't move to one side. I make mine about 6 inches by 14 inches. and put six sections in it. I microwave it for about three minutes. My cat, Jordan, loves laying on top of where it is under the blanket by my feet. She will sleep down by my feet to feel the heat there instead of my head which is good for me! :)
