They filter high frequency noise from the regulator, their values are given in recommended values by the manufacturer. 0.1uf can only really practically be a ceramic or polyester component.

Sorry, the R is 100 Ohms, the C is 100nF or 0.1 uF, its a noise filter, you could even leave it out

I think this old drawing in my library shows it done with relays, its better than routing large currents through switches.

Look at the schematic. The motor sees battery volts, minus whatever is dropped in the transistors, which depends on what current the motors pull. If you increase the battery volts, you should put a proper regulator onto the wifi module, or you will destroy it.

Clearly asking the author of an Instructable which was posted 4 years ago isn't working.....Connect the +ve input of the opamp to ground, or, better, a potential divide who's output voltage is slightly less than the output of your film, connect the -ve input to your piezo film. Connect the output of your single-supply opamp to your load.

Kind of. Alumnium is very soft though, and its easy to gouge. There is no known toxicity issue with aluminium oxide.
View Instructable »"Self cleaning mode" is a mode in many electric ovens where the oven can get to an unusually high temperature to burn off carbon. An "SOS pad" is a scouring pad from cleaning ovenware. They can be made of metal wires, or a material called ScotchBrite. Crisco is a kind of vegetable oil, often made with Canola or Corn. Flax oil is considered the best oil to season with.

VERY nicely documented.
View Instructable »No, you are making near net shapes by casting, the time to machine the final details is a LOT less than the cost of milling the fins for example.

The blocking oscillator itself does not create a sine wave, it is a square wave, however the load acts as a filter, and the higher end components of the square wave are filtered out, leaving the fundamental.
- steveastrouk commented on TjB29's instructable How to Sharpen Used and Dull Drill Bits (By Hand!!)
I have a drill Doctor too. You have to be very careful to keep the chuck up to that index peg, and you really DO need to turn it a LOT on big drills to get the geometry right. And if the drill is really buggered up, you need to set it more than once in the alignment fixture. Steve
