My background is in theatre lighting and stage design, and I'm currently teaching physical computing at the ITP at NYU (more at http://itp.nyu.edu/tigoe). I also occasionally consult on production, research, and development of physical interaction design projects as well. I'd love to work on projects involving chimps someday.
